Snoqualmie Pass is well known to hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail as a “town” stop for resupply, showers, etc. As I cross the first of the Triple Crown trails, I note that this is at least my 3rd time walking through this area, once while thru-hiking the PCT, once on a warm-up hike with my son Jerry and now this time, going through west to east. Wendy and I have also stayed here at the Summit Inn while exploring the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Had to cross this a couple of times, luckily there were rock hops<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It’s almost exactly 60 miles back to the wharf in Seattle from which I started, a lot more ground than I expected to cover in 2 days. My feet are beat, but holding up well and I’m as excited as I’ve ever been on a long distance hike. Walking east is bright and sunny in the morning and wonderful in the afternoon with the sun over my shoulders,  John Denver style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m including a barrage of pictures from the first two days- I hope you enjoy! Keeping this short as I want to get back on trail. It rained most of the day yesterday,  but apparently it’s supposed to stop in an hour or so, so hopefully I’ll get to hike dry today <\/p>\n\n\n\n
