I don’t care if Auntie Di made this already. It was on my list to make because (1) unlike my little brother and sister, I remember eating this all.the.time and (2) Todd loves meat and potatoes. And it’s so much like a pasty!
I have two recipes for this – both from mom.

I am flattered that you use this book often. I am especially tickled that Todd is smiling – must mean he really likes it. That particular recipe brings back so many family good times for me because it was always our holiday staple. One Christmas I made and frozen many of the pies and gave them all for Christmas gifts, with a big red bow on top.
I love the fact that your copy of Mom’s recipe book is showing so much wear and tear- meaning it’s obviously well-used! What started this whole site was when I pulled out the copy Wendy and I have from one of our book boxes during the recent move.
